I had to go with 3 of my classmates to a local farm today. All four of us are going in to Elementary Education, so the purpose of the trip was to design a field trip. We have to make out a schedule of activities throughout the day (my job) and a permission slip to send home to the parents. It really was a nice place. For $6 you get to do a craft, listen to the story the new story the farm writes every year, and pick a pumpkin. You also can walk around the farm to look at the amazing flowers (i've never seen bigger) and at the animals that they have. Anyways, the main reason i'm writing this is because i am currently enjoying the caramel apple that i bought there, its delicious. I hope all of you enjoy your fall traditions whatever they may be!!!!!!!!!

Yum - maybe I should make some of my chocolate covered caramel apples.
Sounds delicious. Make sure you give "O" some of the goodies. What is he gonna dress up as this year? Did he have a pumpkin suit last year? Well have fun if you end up making your treats.
Rachel gets to go on a field trip in a couple weeks, she is so excited! For her the biggest thrill is riding the school bus to the pumpkin farm.
she doesnt get to ride it all the time like all the other kids. So i'm sure she is excited about it. I was gonna ask if you got to go with her, but with 4 other ones its probably pretty hard. LOL
So Michael, what was your field trip design?
Leaving school at 9am
tour of farm, hayride, and pumpkin picking 10-11am.
Wandering around the shops and looking at the animals from 11-11:45. Sack lunch/recess from 11:45-12:30. Make a scarecrow for our classroom from 12:30-1pm. Then head back to school. Its not too bad.
