Hi to all! Hope all of you are having a fantastic time leading up to Christmas. I am done with my exams tomorrow, so that is very exciting. I have 3 of them, so it might be another late night. On sunday, I went to bed at 4 and was up at 7. On monday, it was 2:30 and up at 6. I plan on leaving tomorrow around 3pm, but I have a few prayer requests. First, before I leave I need my car to start, which tonight it didn't. Second, if i get to leave tomorrow, just pray for good weather and safety while travelling. I would really appreciate your prayers. Looking forward to seeing all of you soon!

Exams start a week from today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm done with my exams a week from wednesday, and will probably be home on thursday. It is funny because it is one of those things where the semester has gone by really fast it seems, but then i think of some of the things from the beginning of the semester and they seem like a really long time ago! Anyways, better do some homework. I wish everyone a good week, and Lord willing i'll see you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just returned from a nice break from school. I'm on the school basketball team, so i got to spend thursday-about noon on saturday at our tournament in Chicago (Moody Bible Institute).
We spent a couple nights in a hotel, so i just watched a few movies off the internet there. I watched that new movie Twilight, it wasn't that great, but i have to say i wanted to watch the second one (2010) after the first one finished. After our game saturday morning, my friends steve and mike came and picked me up to spend the weekend at Steve's house. Steve wanted us to spend the weekend with him so we could meet his fiance and vice versa. His family had a couple birthdays this week, so they were celebrating them on saturday. Needless to say, i had a lot of unhealthy, but tasty food. I had a great time! It was nice to get away from school for a few days. We're all very excited because classes are done this week, and next week we have finals. my last final is on wednesday, so i should be home later that night, or maybe on thursday. Well, gotta work on some homework, so i better go. Can't wait to see all of you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michigan's basketball team just beat UCLA!!!!!!

The people who read this probably won't care, but

i'm pretty excited because UCLA was ranked #4 in

the country. We've been bad for a long time, so

hopefully this can be a start to a good year!!!!

Just heard a song about the back seat of a greyhound bus. That's gonna be me a week from today. I'll be on my way to see my "long lost" relatives in Louisville. I haven't seen you guys in forever!!!!!!! Then on Thursday, i'll be on the bus back to Flint for something like 14 hours. We must have a lot of stops in between. Anyways, can't wait to visit with Ben, Kelly, and Owen, and then visit with all at home.

Saturday, November 15, 2008

I am talking to my friend Phil and blogging, i am supposed to be writing a paper that is due on monday. But my attention span for homework is very short right now. Just rode a bike my roommate found in the trash to the Shell station. It was a hard ride though, because the back tire doesn't hold air. I was very disappointed though, because they didn't have fountain pop. It is the weekend, so i could actually drink it, but they didn't have it. O well! I gotta get back to work.
C ya in 2 weeks or less!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Psalm 119:89-90 89- Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.
90- Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you
established the earth, and it endures.

I think it is fitting for the day after a somewhat disappointing election.

Psalm 106,107:1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever.

I Timothy 2:1-3 1- I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and
thanksgiving be made for everyone- 2- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3- This is good, and pleases God our Savior.

Psalm 86:7-10

7- In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. 8- Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works. 9- All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. 10- For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

Hey! I'm pretty excited. I thought i wasn't gonna be able to vote, because you have to be present when registering to vote for the first time in Michigan. Obviously, being in Wisconsin kind of stops that from happening. However, they announced in Chapel, that you could still register and to vote here in Watertown. So today I waited in line for about a half hour, registered to vote, and then filled out my ballot early. I Voted for the 2 women of the Wisconsin Green Party. HaHa. No, voted for the McCain-Palin ticket. Then just filled in for the republican congressman (men), cant remember. I didn't vote for any of the local garbage cuz i don't know who they are. Anyways, just thought i would tell you my exciting story. I feel old now that i get to vote for the first time!

Psalm 36:5 Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

my apologies to Mr. Obama for any false reports i might have passed on.
Is apologies spelled right, cuz it looks weird? Spell check said it was ok.

Psalm 12:6 - And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay,
purified seven times.

from notes on bottom of page: when we feel as though sincerity and truth have nearly gone out of existence, we have one hope- the Word of God. His words are perfect, so listen carefully when he speaks to your through his Word.

This post is for Casey and Ben! and somewhat Sarah. I have a lifelong fitness class at school and we just got done playing floor hockey. You guys remember those good times in the old church building's basement? We used to play every week, that was when Casey had only one child and Ben didn't have anybody LOL. I probably hadn't played more than one time since we moved our church building. I used to laugh because I though Casey was crazy for playing in jeans. He was always proud of his double layered shins so he could slide on the floor and not wear a hole in his jeans. Then there was Ben, who took it more serious than him? Wonder if they still have those spackled 4x8 sheets on the wall still. Anyways, just funny thinking about the good times we had.
I gonna try to start posting a key verse from the passage i've read for that day:

Psalm 4:3 - Know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself; the Lord will hear when i call to him.

The red is just the part that stuck out to me.

Hey just realized I was in Wisconsin tonight. Walking to check my mailbox tonight, there was another gentlemen in front of me. He was wearing a camouflage jacket and when a group of geese started to fly over he turned around and started calling to them. Never seen that one before! No offence to anyone who wears camouflage or calls geese.

I finally got to see the latest video of Owen. He has grown a lot since this picture of him in his bed. C ya at Christmas "Big Guy".

I'm so thankful that it is finally the weekend. It was kind of a long day today. I went to bed last night about 2 and got up at 6:15 to study some more. I had a test at 7:20 in Developmental Pyschology, at 8:20 in Abstract Algebra ( very difficult class), and at 11:20 in Old Testament Survey. I'm not sure how the last two went. In Dev Psych I got about an 85 which makes sense because i've gotten a 82 and 84 on the other two tests. I need a good grade on the Algebra class because i got a 65 on the first one. I wouldn't be taking the class, but it is the last class i need for my math minor. Well its 12:15am here in Wisc, 1:15 back home. Everyone have a good weekend!!

I had to go with 3 of my classmates to a local farm today. All four of us are going in to Elementary Education, so the purpose of the trip was to design a field trip. We have to make out a schedule of activities throughout the day (my job) and a permission slip to send home to the parents. It really was a nice place. For $6 you get to do a craft, listen to the story the new story the farm writes every year, and pick a pumpkin. You also can walk around the farm to look at the amazing flowers (i've never seen bigger) and at the animals that they have. Anyways, the main reason i'm writing this is because i am currently enjoying the caramel apple that i bought there, its delicious. I hope all of you enjoy your fall traditions whatever they may be!!!!!!!!!

Looks like another trip to Applebee's to watch Michigan vs. Illinois. Some Pepsi and some chips and queso is already sounding tasty. Well good luck Wolverine fans, and enjoy the game. For Kelly, down there in Louisville, it is currently 34 degrees here in Watertown. Enjoy the warm weather. Go Blue!

Hey! I'm reading this book for my developmental psychology class. I'm just wondering if any of you out there read this book, or tried something similar to this. I think some of it makes sense, but I'm not sure if all of it works. They keep talking about like 30-36 month old children signing, but aren't they talking? Well gotta get back to reading the book, report due friday.

Harvest fest is a huge outreach event in Flushing, Michigan. It is a day full of fun, games, and preaching. I've only been there one time, Kelly would be more of the expert. The reason i'm writing about it, is because a group from my school is going there to help with set up, tear down, and with whatever else may need to be done. I'm pretty excited about it because it is only 20 minutes away from my house. So not only do i get to help out with this great event, but i get to see my family for a little while as well. So if anyone from Immanuel sees this, i will be home for morning service this Sunday. Well i better go work on homework, so I won't have to do it at home this weekend. See ya.

This is Tom Brady. This is Tom Brady smiling after a touchdown. Unfortunately, you will not see a picture similar to this one at any time this season. He got hurt in the first half of the first game of the season. You're probably wondering why i would put this on my blog. The reason is that Tom Brady was my starting quaterback on my fantasy football league. In my league you get 400 dollars to bid on about 14 players, and I spent 135 on Tom Brady. Let me translate, Brady was supposed to win me a lot of games this year because the rest of my team wasn't (isn't) the greatest. So now the playoff hopes of my team, rest on the arm of Jake Delhomme. Let me translate, wish me luck.

Yesterday was Los Quatros Amigos, today it is Applebees. I'm at Applebees enjoying some good queso dip and watching the Michigan football game. This is what i miss most about home today. After the game, Drew and I would normally go throw the football around at the high school. Anyways, the game is almost over, and Michigan is going to redeem themselves from their loss to Utah last week. Rich Rod gettin the boys back on track. Go Blue!

Friday, September 05, 2008

This is what i miss most about home. Yes, I do miss Drew and Baby "O", but look behind them. If any of you know our family very well, you will recognize this restaurant. To anyone back home, I'm just kidding. I miss all of you more than Los Quatro Amigos.
Not sure if that is spelled correctly. Anyways, I've been out of class since 12, and you can probably tell by this post that i'm kinda bored. Miss all of you, and can't wait to see you.

This is one of the colors of my new college. Maranatha Baptist Bible College is located in Watertown, Wisconsin, right in the middle of Madison and Milwaukee. It takes about 7 hours to get there from Saginaw, and i'll be making the trip this Thursday. Everybody asks me if i'm excited, and i tell them i'm really not excited or disappointed. Its just another step in life and i'll learn to like it when i'm there. Anyways, I won't be seeing anybody who reads this (which is very few of you) for a while. So i will hopefully get to see all of you at Christmas time. Later!

Hey! I'm writing in green because that is Delta's school color and i have probably taken my last class there. I cant complain, I have enjoyed my two years i've spent there. I especially am thankful for the money that I have been able to save by going to Delta. For the 48 credits i have taken, i probably only had to pay about 3,000 dollars for, the rest was covered by the money i got from taking the MEAP test. Well i have to go to work at 7 tomorrow, so i better get ready for bed. Just letting you know i was done with school, so everyone could be happy for me LOL. Hope everyone is doing FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

Friday, February 29, 2008

I'll just work next mon-thurs, and then I'll be heading to see Ben, Kelly, and Owen. That will be fun!!!!!!!!!! Well better get back to studying.

I found this on the Tigers Website:
I don't have a question, rather a statement. My daughter, myself, my brother-in-law and my father-in-law went to TigerFest. We met the players and enjoyed the kids activities in the stadium. After TigerFest, we left the stadium, and due to the economy, there were homeless asking for handouts. My family went to Johnny Rockets across from the stadium to get a bite to eat before our 250-mile ride north. While we were sitting there, a gentleman in a very nice suit came in with one of those homeless people and bought them dinner. That person was Robertson. You hear about what the players do for the community, but you don't realize it sometimes till you see it first-hand. As my family left Johnny Rockets, we passed the Fox Theatre, where there is another restaurant where we saw Robertson with his wife. He took time away from his dinner and his wife to help this person who did not know who he was. Makes me proud to be a Tiger fan.
I appreciated this man's leaving this comment. Nate Robertson is a Christian baseball player for the Tigers. I saw him at Home Plate, a Christian baseball players i guess rally, a couple years ago. He and his wife spoke there. I know he has the money to spend, but how many people in his position would of done that. Hope you enjoyed.
