Hey! I'm reading this book for my developmental psychology class. I'm just wondering if any of you out there read this book, or tried something similar to this. I think some of it makes sense, but I'm not sure if all of it works. They keep talking about like 30-36 month old children signing, but aren't they talking? Well gotta get back to reading the book, report due friday.

Nope, haven't read that one before. Yeah, Adam was talking at 15 mo, so I'm sure a song or two was escaping his lips by the time he was 3. :)

YES, three year olds can talk. :) I haven't read the book but I am trying to teach Owen a few signs. He's learned how to stick out his tongue but so far hasn't picked up the art of signing.

I don't know you, but someone who reads your blog told me about your post. I taught my older son sign language and am currently teaching my daughter. My son started signing at 7 months old. My daughter started signing at about 1 year. Great skill for the kids - less crying and whining. I used the book "Sign with your baby' by Dr. Joseph Garcia. There is also a video.
